Q:i would like to use this material to create swags for a backdrop..i didnt like the gossamer material (too thin or see through)....how see through is this materialAsked on 3/29/2012 by Anonymous
A:Shimmera is not as "se through" as gossamer however if you use lighting behind it, it may be easier to see through it. It is a heavier material. For samples please call our customer service dept.Answered on 3/30/2012 by csr
Q:I am looking for some type of wall covering 10 x 60 in the color black. Do you have anything in this sizeAsked on 2/9/2011 by Anonymous
A:We do not have exact sizes however shimmera, gossamer, vinyl and paper background materials may be cut to your specifications. We would need more information on your size as well. Is that in feet or yards? Please contact our customer service dept Mon-Fri 7am-9pm ESTAnswered on 2/10/2011 by csr
Q:Is this fabric sheer like chiffon or more opaque like satin?Asked on 1/14/2011 by ck from KS

Q:If you cut this material into panels to hang on the wall - will the seams unravel, or do you think it would hold up for at least two days without sewing an edge?Asked on 1/10/2011 by Ann W from col springs Co
A:If using this Shimmera to cut hanging panels it may unravel if a raw edge is left. It may hold up for 2 days but we have no way of determining this as the sharpness of scissors is also a deciding factor on whether or not the edges will unravel quickly.Answered on 1/13/2011 by csr
A:It will ravel but you can run a line of glue, wait until it dries and then cut to it to make an edge. Or, using a sewing machine, you could zig-zag the edge but you will need a very fine needle so it doesn't puncture the fabric.Answered on 6/22/2011 by Crafty Lady from Rochester, NY
Q:What is the best way to hang this material with? How do I attach it to the walls? Do you use double sides tape? What do you suggest?Asked on 11/4/2010 by Decorating Deb from Canada
A:Tacking it up or draping it over an object is best. The material if hanging it will seem pretty heavy and double sided tape may be harder to remove off the surface as well.Answered on 11/4/2010 by csr
