What exactly needs to be installed with this product? What instruments are required to blow-up the balloons? Are the balloons free of the cardboard trunk then need to be attached?

  There is nothing you need to "install" for this product. It will come with everything you need to assemble. You will need to inflate each balloon with air and attach them according to the instructions, which will be included with the shipment.
