Western Lantern Centerpiece

Used as part of the table settings for a western themed birthday. They are large, real lanterns that take a tea light candle. They will be used many times !

This lantern was a gorgeous centerpiece for my western-themed mystery dinner table. My guests loved it, and the atmospheric addition of the live tea light glowing inside definitely added to our enjoyment of our mystery dinner.

But though it looks nice and solid from a distance, I was a little surprised that the metal beams kind of holding it all in place were kind of flimsy. It was done probably on purpose to allow you to kind of clumsily slide up the glass and insert the candle, but it was a bit difficult to do and required at least two people to both hold the base, lift the spring-held top and the glass, while someone else slipped the candle inside and lit it. It's nice enough for the price, but I do wish they'd come up with a more convenient design for inserting and lighting the candle.

Looks like the real deal. Tea lights fit perfect, but don't count on it for "real" light. Great as a centerpiece.

We used this as table decorations for our Western-themed business conference dinner that included line dancing. We inserted battery powered tea lights into them, and once we figured out how to open the lanterns, they worked great!

I used these for our son's wedding rehearsal. I think that these were the first things that folks noticed when the walked into the door. They were very attractive, and folks were asking me where I purchased them. A definate addition to the party. I was glad that I purchased them. They added to the table deocration just perfectly--not too heavy and not too light.

I used to decorate our tables with the gingham table clothes and little bowl of trail mix placed at each table. recommend using a battery operated tealight because it last longer and you don't have keep changing out the candle.

This is my second lantern. We use it as a decoration for an end-of year show. I put a LED tea light in it. Looks great.

These are great - they are actually exactly like the original lanterns (except in black, not red). I LOVE the fact that I can put a tea light in these instead of trying to use messy, smelly oil. These are well-made and are full-size. And FYI - there are two ways to get into them. You can follow the instructions and put a tea light in the bottom. OR there is a way to OPEN THE TOP of the lantern and drop a larger candle down from the top of the glass. Be warned - when the candle melts, it might make a mess. But there is a way to raise up the metal at the top. We will use these repeatedly!
