I am one of the planners of our office parties; we had an idea to present the year-end awards Oscars style and have everyone get a clapper 'award' with their name on it to take with them. We were able to write on the clappers with a silver sharpie to mimic chalk, and everyone just loved them. A few had a strange sort of matted finish that made the writing a bit smudged, but in its defense, it was meant to be chalked on and it was only on 2 or 3 of them total. In all it was a great buy and the hit of the party!

I used a silver pilot pen instead of the chalk. Much better results.

I bought these as table markers for my daughter's "Old Hollywood" themed wedding. I think they are excellent quality for the price paid. I can't wait to see them on all the tables at her April 2012 wedding.

The product size and price was great for centerpieces. The chalk didn't write as dark, but buying better chalk solved that problem. This is also the cheapest I found this product. Other places sold it for [$] or more.
