As someone from the 50's trying to find something for other persons from the 50's it fits a description my dad would have used "Cute as a Bug in a Rug". Filled with candy this will be a "Back to the Fifties" RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) annual recognition gift. Every year I try to find something inexpensive that is theme oriented that each person can take home with them as a small mememto. This candy jar fit the bill. I remember larger canisters like this being filled with candy and sitting on the counter in the store when I went with my Dad and Mom to do the 'trading' which was what shopping was called back then. Especially sitting at the angle, just soooo cute.
