• Purchase an inexpensive t-shirt for each guest from a discount store. On the back of each jersey write the guest's last name and add large numbers using fabric paint, or let the guests do this themselves at the party. Then have the guests suit up in their new uniform shirt and play a "world cup" game of soccer at your party!
• Recruit a few artists to do party face paint designs on your guests as they arrive.
• Using a metal whistle and field cones as cheer phones, run some organized soccer drills. Include drills for passing, shooting, trapping, dribbling, and heading the ball. Enlist a couple of star soccer players from a local travel team or high school team to work with the kids. Younger children will be inspired by these athletes, and the athletes will be flattered by the attention of their young kickers!
• Offer an activity that lets your soccer players use their hands! No illegal use of hands call for swinging the bat at the soccer ball piñata.
