Fun It Forward $400 Fridays with the Shindigz Party FUNd

Fun It Forward with Shindigz Party FUNd!
Fun It Forward with Shindigz Party FUNd!

As we prepare for the final few months of 2013, Shindigz is continuing our drive to Fun It Forward with the Shindigz Party FUNd.

For the next few weeks, we will be awarding at least $400 on Fridays to people and organizations who submit their ideas via the Party Fund App on Shindigz Facebook page.  Selection is based on various criteria by Shindigz Party Hosts. Other, smaller awards will also be given.

We’ve taken the concept of Pay it Forward and merged it with our philosophy to Make Life More Fun.

This year the Shindigz Party FUNd will distribute $25,000 in gift cards and gift certificates to both individuals and organizations.

Since January 2013, more than 100 Party Fund ideas have been granted. Sometimes it’s  $50 or $100 that’s awarded.  Starting September 13th, the Party FUNd is awarding $400 and our first recipient is 4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc.

In September, 4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. is having a gift card drive. 16 families will be receiving a $25 Shindigz Party FUNd Gift Certificate to Make Life More Fun!

Thank you Emily Pember, Founder/Director of  4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. for joining us to Fun It Forward!

Other Party FUNd winners in September include Karen Hunter who is going to Fun It Forward with her family for her parents 50th wedding anniversary.

Also Riley Conrath’s idea was granted:

The 25th Annual Puttin’ on the Max, The Great Catsby! MaxFund, Denver’s only no-kill animal shelter and where I adopted my best friend (a black lab, Derby), is holding their annual fundraising event. The event benefits the hundreds of homeless and sick animals MaxFund takes in and finds homes for. This year’s event theme is the Roaring 2o’s and we would love to decorate with lots of glitz, glam and gold – cutouts of retro cars and art deco architecture would make the night one to remember! Puttin’ On the Max is an amazing event that highlights MaxFund’s hard work, big hearts and loving cats and dogs!

And here’s how Leslie Cheatham is going to Fun It Forward:

We are planning our very first Volunteer Fire and EMS Haunted House and Carnival. We are located in a very rural area where there is nothing for the children to do. This would be a great opportunity for us to give back to the community and keep the children safe and a little help from our friends at Shindigz would be wonderful!

Add your idea to Fun It Forward by going here, and join us in our mission to Make Life More Fun!

Last year our small community had some concerned citizens who began a backpack meal ministry. We send food home with elementary age kids who might not have weekend meals. We are hoping to connect with these families during the school year. If we were to win a Fund It Forward then we could throw a huge bash that the kids could bring their parents to and celebrate. Weekend meals & a party, what could be more fun!

We are planning our 25th High School Reunion for the summer of 2014. We have actually came up with two ideas for decorating. The first idea is a 80′s Themed Dance Party with neon colors and props for pictures. The second is a Evening under the stars black tie type dance with stars and sparkly stuff.
