Kobe Bryant’s parents issued a public apology to him, after selling a bunch of his memorabilia to an auction house. It seems, Kobe’s mom and dad got a $450,000 advance from a New Jersey auction house for jerseys and other items from his high school career and his early years with the Lakers. But Kobe said the stuff was his, and not his parents’ to sell. So he sued the auction house. Well, Kobe settled with the auction house this week, and his parents issued a statement saying they regret their actions.
I think it’s safe to say that Tebow Mania is back. It was just yesterday we told you Tim Tebow was signing with the New England Patriots, and ESPN mentioned his name 137 times between in just 2 hours. That means they brought him up more than once per minute.
And finally, Former President George H.W. Bush celebrates his 89th birthday Wednesday, and his library wants people to honor him with one of his new trademarks — very bright socks. The George Bush Presidential Library Foundation is asking people to wear “exuberant socks”. The elder Bush has become even more famous of late for his exotic footwear; the elder Bush once told granddaughter Jenna he “likes a good sock.”
