If you have a little one who is about to celebrate their first birthday, then it’s time to pull out all the stops for this momentous occasion. Birthday’s come but once a year, and this will definitely be one you want to remember.

Babies love lots of color, so when planning this special birthday bash make sure you decorate the whole house in vibrant hues. Streamers and birthday balloons are sure to be a smash. If you’re celebrating a daughter’s birthday, pink is the way to go. For little boy’s, baby blue will let your guests know you’re proud of your little man.

Of course everyone at the party will be expecting a cake! Whip up something chocolate or vanilla, and don’t forget to light a candle for your baby to blow out (with your help of course).

When it comes time to serve the cake, you’ll want to have some festive place settings for all your guests. For these party supplies, think about the TV shows, movies or animals your child likes best. Your baby will be giggling when they see Elmo smiling up at them from their plate. Elmo 1st Birthday Dessert Plates will add to great “messy cake” photos.

Show your son or daughter how proud you are – throw them a fantastic first birthday bash!

If you’re looking for other theme ideas for your baby’s 1st birthday party, why not consider the baby’s nursery theme and decor for the theme of the party. For instance if your baby’s room is decorated with pooh characters why not have a 1st birthday pooh party or if Sesame Street is the theme a sesame street party, etc.

Thanks for some great ideas. Our neice turn 1 in a month and we have been roped in to help get everything ready. I know where I can get the plates too. It’ll be mostly adults so we’ll have fun, she’ll probably sleep after the cake.
