We were excited to hear of another creative use of our photo standees for the end of season banquet at the Fort Wayne Country Club in Indiana. Todd Firestone, the head professional at FWCC, wanted to give the junior golfers who had worked so hard all year a special keepsake beyond the usual trophy or golf balls. He decided to give each child a stand up version of themselves with golf club in hand.
At the closing tournament of the year, Todd’s team took pictures of all the juniors as they were teeing off. They assumed it was the usual, “Let’s take some pictures for the newsletter” photos. Unbeknownst to them, Todd sent the pictures to us and with 72 hours we had created life size standups for the end of year banquet.
You can imagine the looks on the kids and parents faces when they cam to the banquet and were greeted by their surprise counterparts circling the room. We have been receiving comments from parents and grandparents all week following the event. One creative child put his looking out his window so his friends would think it was him. One grandpa wanted to order another standup of his grandchild for his lake house so he could have him around all the time. And we’re pretty confident that the tennis program will be looking at standups for their end of season program this year as well.
Economical, easy and memoranble. It’s a great formula for all sorts of special events that create special memories. I hope you’ll consider our photo standees for your kids special events, sports and celebrations.
All the best, Shep Moyle
