Decorations for a May Day or Springtime Party

Celebrate the start of spring by decorating your home, classroom or office for May Day. There are tons of motifs from flowers to butterflies to ribbons and May Poles that you can use to make the most of the beginning of spring.

Start your decorating with theme kits such as a Enchanted Garden Decorating Kit or Spring Flowers Standees. They’re great for creating a big entrance or a beautiful focal point for a May Day party. There are other springtime decorations such as butterfly standees and giant tissue tulips. Create a garden in you home or party space with any combination of these decorations.

Accent your May Day room with decorations like mylar butterfly and dragonfly balloons, wisteria garland, satin rose buds and butterfly hanging decorations.

Gossamer is another great decorating choice for this occasion. Use pastel colored gossamer to create soft drapes, swags or curtains. They add a pretty backdrop to your decorations or help cover walls and other areas you want to be showered in spring color.

Picnic themed food is perfect for a spring party. Set your table in spring colors to go along with the occasion using pastel or white plastic plates and cutlery. Mix in pieces from the Garden Party Tableware Ensemble and Invitation or Colorful Gingham Ensemble to fill out the look. To decorate your table try a gingham checked tablecover for the classic picnic look or use an opalescence pink tablecover for a shimmering table. Top it all off with a potted plant or a honeycomb centerpiece.
