VBS Decorations
Picking a theme for Vacation Bible School and choosing your decorations is a big, yet exciting task. Make sure the theme goes with the activities and crafts you have planned for your VBS. We have several great themes to choose from that would be great for your Vacation Bible School! Choose from the list below.
Once you have chosen a theme for your event, you can pick out your decorations and get started.
Fiesta Party
Hang some cactus, sombreros, and other festive cutouts on the walls. Hanging some of our Fiesta or Santa Fe party lights around windows or draping them from the ceiling would create a nice accent. Check out our balloon supply to find more perfect decorations. We also offer a great Fiesta Tableware Ensemble that includes all of the tableware you need for a group of eight. Another great décor idea is our Fiesta Entrance! It will set the perfect scene for your event.
Pirates Treasure Cove Party
For your Pirates Cove Party our lighted lanterns will help liven up your scene. Adding an inflatable parrot and palm tree will set the island mood. Hang our fishnet on the wall and decorate it with some shells and a captain’s wheel for a great scene. Kids will love getting their picture taken in our Pirate Ship. This 61” h x 93” w x 19” d ship includes flags, a mast, an anchor, steering wheel, and water gossamer.
Take the Plunge
Use our palm tree, tropical lights, and luau door curtain to set your scene. Hang some Luau cutouts and Hibiscus Flowers on the wall for decoration. Place some tropical leis, shells, palm tree confetti, or tissue bubble fish on the tables to spice up the table décor. Our Hibiscus Floral Lit Arch kit will be a hit at your VBS. Island Waterfall, Tropical Hibiscus, and Aloha signs are also available for purchase.
Set Sail
Use our Life Preserver Arch, Mini Sea Creatures, Blue Horizon Patterned Corrugated Paper, and Nautical Kit to create the perfect scene. Cut some construction paper in the shape of life preservers or pelicans and write welcome messages on them for great wall décor. You could also spread sea shells on the table to create the perfect setting.
Safari
Use our jungle animal standees and Jungle Allure Kit to create the perfect setting. Hanging animal print gossamer and setting up palm trees will make a great accent. Place foil palm trees on the tables for an added touch. Hang a candy filled palm tree piñata from the ceiling for children to enjoy. Our Safari Snake Pit Entrance will add some excitement to your VBS. Snake standees, Squiggle Grass, and other safari animal cutouts are also available for purchase.
VBS Favor Tips
Fiesta Party
At your next Fiesta Party distribute out Chili Pepper Beads and bracelets for the kids to enjoy. Blinking Chili Pepper Pins are sure to be a hit with everyone at Vacation Bible School. Our maracas and sombreros are also fun favors. The maracas can be tied in with a fun sing-a-long.
Pirates Treasure Party
Aaaaargh, our Gold Coins would be a great favor to put in your Treasure Chest, or to trade with the other Pirates at your VBS. A Pirate Spyglass is a great favor for those seafaring pirates in search of land!

Set Sail

Safari
At you next Safari Themed Party kids are sure to love our Pith Hats and Binoculars; it will help put them in the mood for a Safari. Our glow bracelets will help them find their way through the jungle. Safari Cowboy Hats and Plastic Canteens also make great favors for kids.
VBS Activities
Fiesta Party
For your Fiesta Party fill a piñata with candy and trinkets for the kids. Blindfold each child and allow each one to take an attempt at busting the piñata. Another activity could center on a photo standee where children could get their picture taken. Pin the tail on the donkey would be another fun game to play. Make your own maracas! Get some paint, beads, masking tape, and paper tubing. Seal one end of the tube with tape, fill with beads, seal the other end, decorate with the paint, and your ready to make some music!
Pirates Treasure Party
Our treasure chest craft kit would be a great activity for your students to do. Play X Marks the spot; draw a large treasure map, cut out some X’s, blindfold the children, and let them find the treasure. Fill a treasure chest piñata with candy and trinkets for the children to enjoy!
Take the Plunge
Kids love to make things. Try making our flip flop and sunglasses magnets, they’re easy to make and the kids will love it! You could also fill a sand box or plastic pool with sand and hide small trinkets or toys inside for the kids to dig up! Filling a Palm Tree Piñata with candy and toys is another activity your kids are sure to enjoy.
Set Sail
Kids will love making magnets with our great flip flop and sunglasses craft kit. Fill a Whale Piñata with candy and trinket for your kids to enjoy. You could also try one of our Photo Stand Ins they double as a bean bag toss.
Safari
Kids will love making our Safari Animal Masks, once the glue is dry they can wear the masks and pretend they are in the jungle! You can also try our Monkey Face and Jungle Animal Foam Craft Kits. They will be a hit with your kids! Try one of our fun jungle standees. They are great for pictures and can double as a bean bag toss.
VBS Snack Ideas
Snacks are a great idea for Vacation Bible School. Snack time gives the kids a chance to get to know each other, plus they love the treats!
Fiesta Party
Your kids will love Fiesta Party nachos, trail mix, cookies, or chips and salsa for a snack. For a more festive look try serving the chips in a sombrero, or placing bandanas at the table settings.
Pirate Cove Party
After a long day at sea Pirates can get hungry, here are some good snack suggestions. Goldfish, submarine sandwiches, fruit on sword skewers, and Ocean Jelly Pops would make a great feast for your kids.
Take the Plunge
Serve pineapple, grapes, dirt pudding, J-ello jigglers in the shape of sea creatures, blue punch, Ocean Jelly Pops, or Shark Gummy Candy at your VBS and the kids will love it. For an added touch serve the dirt pudding in a beach pail and garnish it with gummy worms!
Set Sail
Feed your hungry little sailors snacks fit for the open sea. They will love submarine sandwiches, gummy worms, gummy fish, Goldfish, Ocean Jelly Pops, or fruit served in a watermelon boat.
Safari
During your next Safari Party serve your kids lots of great food. Lemon-lime punch, gummy worms, animal crackers, peanut butter, trail mix, chips, monster cookies, and jelly sandwiches are all great choices
